Senior Pastor
Rev. Randy R. Kennedy serves as the Senior Pastor of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Port St. Lucie, Florida. With more than 30 years of leadership experience in pastoral ministry, military service, and law enforcement, Pastor Randy brings a unique depth of insight, compassion, and dedication to his calling. Since joining St. Andrew in 2019, Pastor Randy has led the church through a season of significant growth and renewal, launching a large successful Capital Campaign, and overseeing a sanctuary renovation and full campus revitalization. Under his leadership, the church also expanded its preschool ministry to include infant and toddler care, creating new outreach opportunities and sustainable ministry income. Before entering full-time ministry, Pastor Randy served over 26 years in the United States Army and Army National Guard, retiring as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer. His service included time as a Army Medic, along with leadership in Recruiting and Retention and many other historical units of distinction. He also served as a State Trooper and Public Information Officer with the Colorado State Patrol, specializing in accident investigation, impaired driving enforcement, and public safety communication. Pastor Randy holds a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry from Palm Beach Atlantic University. His ministry is rooted in the Gospel, and his passion is equipping others for discipleship, worship, and mission. Pastor Randy is blessed to share life and ministry with his beautiful bride, Lisa. Together they have four wonderful children and two grandchildren. Their son Daryn and his wife Sarah live in Salt Lake City with their two boys, Bjorn and Rowan. Their second son, Canan, and his wife Gabriela reside in Palm Bay, Florida. Their daughter April is a third-year student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, and their youngest son Derrick is a senior at Martin County High School in Palm City. As a family, they enjoy serving together, cheering each other on, and giving thanks for God’s abundant grace.
Music Director/Organist
Bill has been Music Director & organist at St. Andrew Lutheran for 43 years. He was born in Washington, D.C. He moved to Ft. Pierce, Florida at the age of 6. He is the youngest of two children. He attended K-12 schools in St. Lucie County, Florida Southern in Lakeland, the University of South Florida in Tampa and St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He was a high school choral director for 40 years until retirement. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists and the Florida Vocal Association. Bill studied with Diane Bish, the first organist at Coral Ridge Presbyterian in Ft. Lauderdale. He directs our Traditional Choir and assists with our Praise music program. St. Andrew Christian Academy Director
Nicole has been with St. Andrew Academy since 2018 and has been working with children for 30 years. She was born and raised in New York. Nicole is not only the youngest of three children but is also the only girl! She attended The College of Mount Saint Vincent in the Bronx and studied Child Psychology. Then she moved to Florida to be closer to her parents, where she began studying Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Florida Atlantic University and Indian River State Collage. She is currently working on her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. Nicole is the mother of a 19-year-old son named Angelo, has 3 dogs, 3 cats, and a parrot. Melissa Decoteaux
Maryann has been the secretary for St. Andrew since August of 2023. She was born and raised in Westchester County, NY (just outside the Bronx). Maryann was raised by her mother and had 3 older brothers. She loves sports and played basketball and softball. She went to Business school after High School and worked as a secretary in UFSD of the Tarrytown’s in Sleepy Hollow, NY and retired in 2015! While working in schools she also scored girls and boys Varsity basketball, coached the ski team and worked on the field as part of the “Chain Gang” for Varsity football. Maryann has two children (Joseph and Dana), 1 grandchild (Zyon) and has been married to Joe for 34 years. They moved to Port Saint Lucie in 2015 to be closer to Joe’s parents and Joseph who attended Florida Atlantic University at the time. Dana, of course, followed soon after that. Maryann’s hobbies are walking, water aerobics and her favorite thing to do is spend time with her grandson.
Melissa has been with St. Andrew Church since 2024 and has been working in accounting for over 20 years. She grew up in Rhode Island as an only child surrounded by a large extended family and moved to Florida to attend Miami Dade College where she studied Business Administration. Melissa continued her studies in Marketing at Florida Atlantic University until returning to Rhode Island to pursue a career in Accounting and Human Resources. Melissa has been married to Clayton since 2019, and they have 2 dogs: Bon Bon a 5-year-old Standard Poodle and Cooper a 3-year-old Goldendoodle. Her hobbies include budgeting, cooking, Dutch pour painting, and gardening.
Heidi has been attending St. Andrew since 2005. She taught Sunday School and VBS for several years while her children were growing up and became the Sunday School Superintendent in 2014. Born and raised in Michigan, the eldest of 3 children, she graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a BS in Secondary Mathematics Education. She is married to Don and is the mother to three grown children: Veronica, Don Jr. and Matthew. She is also the 2-year-old teacher at St. Andrew Christian Academy. Pat Stilwell
Director of Senior Ministry
Pat has been a member of St Andrew since 2009. She grew up in a non-religious household and due to some issues in her late teens, basically distrusted all organized religion for about 50 years. Something drew her to St Andrew where, with the help of former Pastor David Dangerfield, she let go of her distrust and animosity. Pastor Randy continued to pastor her and helped her come to love God more deeply. She came to an understanding of God and what he might be directing her to do. She is now at home at St. Andrew. She tries to be of help anywhere she can. Pat currently leads the seniors group (Still Going Strong) and tries to help the senior members feel appreciated and useful. She is always looking for new members and fresh ideas.
Stephanie Stark
Visual Media Specialist
Stephanie Stark has been a member of St. Andrew since 2012. She serves part-time at St. Andrew as the Media Director (Sunday morning visual aids, Web master, and newsletter). She is a native Texan but has lived in Florida since 1994. She worked for Kinko’s Copy Centers in management for several years, which is what brought her to Florida in 1994 as she opened a Kinko’s in Miami. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of North Florida in Fine Art with an emphasis in Photography. Stephanie has been teaching at a local high school since 2007 (Photography, Art, Yearbook). She is currently earning her Master of Divinity through Emmanuel Academies. When she retires from the school system, it is her desire to continue the ministry of Jesus in whatever capacity God calls her to.
John Ward
Property Management
John has been at St. Andrew since he moved from Lancaster, PA in 2021. Born in Erie, PA, he moved to St. Louis Park, MN at the age of 16 where he was baptized and joined an LCA church. Being the son of a choir director, he has sung in church choirs since the age of 4. He was an accounting specialist in the US Army, and, most recently, a church custodian. He was married for 27 years until the passing of his wife from brain cancer. Besides singing in the choir and occasionally playing bass guitar in the praise band, he is utilizing his experience in accounting and property maintenance at St. Andrew as Treasurer and part-time custodian.
